Strong as a bear

The solidarity teddy bear

World AIDS Day has been taking place on December 1st every year since 1988. It affirms the rights of HIV-positive people worldwide and calls for coexistence without prejudice and exclusion. World AIDS Day also commemorates the people who have died as a result of HIV and AIDS.

Inspired by his trips to America, the former “AIDS pastor” Heiko Sobel brought the idea for this teddy bear from San Francisco to Germany. He has been the sweetest ambassador to promote acceptance and solidarity since 1992.
